However, i discovered to my delight that the Isla Glen had a subtle undertone of the forest and meadows, filling your room with delightful whiffs of heather, wild flowers and sycamore trees This is an must-have in the house! Supposed to capture the essence of the Scottish Highlands, the scented bottle comes in a pretty box with flowers commonly found in the Highlands as the decoration motif. I was apprehensive about the smell as the market these days has too many strong smelling fragrances that are headache-inducing. However, i discovered to my delight that the Isla Glen had a subtle undertone of the forest and meadows, filling your room with delightful whiffs of heather, wild flowers and sycamore trees. The product comes in a box of a 192ml bottle filled with the fragrance as well as 9 wicking reeds. First off, when putting in the reeds into the bottle, do not place all 9 reeds if you do not want a very strong scent in the room. 2-3 will do just fine as the reeds are thicker than the normal reeds and hence will be able to pull up more scent into the room. Turn the reeds over after 2-3 ... days to moisten the other end of the reed. This helps easy diffusing of the fragrance throughout the reed. One thing about this product is that Crabtree and Evelyn does not sell reeds alone without the diffuser and as 192ml is more than enough for 9 reeds, no matter how you ration them, you'll find yourself having to look for alternative sources of reeds. But that said, the bottle will last you easily 4-6 months depending on how many reeds you use. I have been using mine for 5 months now and it still has a fifth of liquid left in the bottle. This product is highly recommended if you want to give your room a unique yet welcoming scent, especially if you come home from a long trip! Its warm tones calm the nerves and allow easy sleeping as well. Best thing is that unlike conventional aromatherapy, no fires are lit and they last the whole day, for 6 months. Convenient yet works wonders. What's not to like?
